ATNi has announced an exciting opportunity for qualified digital agencies to submit proposals for the development of a new website in WordPress (minimum 6.7.1) or Drupal (minimum v10.3.10).

Why the Redesign?

As an NGO guided by its Theory of Change, ATNI’s strategic direction has evolved, and the website requires an overhaul to better reflect its priorities and approach. The redesigned website will serve as a central hub for engaging key stakeholders, including investors, policymakers, and the food industry, in ATNi’s mission to improve global access to nutrition and combat malnutrition. The platform must meet the highest standards of performance, security, scalability, and user experience to effectively support this mission.

Central to ATNi’s vision is making data a public good. The new website will showcase ATNi’s research on food systems, markets and the food industry, with features that make these insights freely accessible and downloadable for scholars, journalists, companies, and other interested parties. The platform will integrate with ATNi’s robust data Lakehouse and Power BI tools, emphasising interactivity and usability to drive meaningful impact.

Furthermore, ATNi’s website has undergone multiple updates in the last decade, resulting in inefficiencies that hinder performance and usability. This redevelopment represents an opportunity to realign the platform with ATNi’s evolving strategic direction, streamline its structure, and implement best practices in web design and development. The new website will be mobile-responsive, accessible, and equipped with advanced analytics and SEO capabilities. This project aims to replace the current platform with either WordPress (minimum version 6.7.1) or Drupal (minimum version 10.3.10).

Key Objectives

The redesigned platform will:

  • Align with ATNi’s strategy and Theory of Change.
  • Provide a user-friendly, intuitive experience with seamless navigation.
  • Meet global accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA).
  • Incorporate modern web technologies and features, ensuring a mobile-first design.
  • Empower non-technical staff to manage content with ease.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and robust role-based access controls.

Project Deliverables

• A fully functional website built on WordPress or Drupal, based on the selected platform.
• Custom templates for defined key pages.
• Documentation of design, technical specifications, and content workflows.
• A user guide for staff to manage content and user roles.
• Access to admin panels, hosting information, and all source files.
