ATNi Unveils New Product Profile Dashboard to Strengthen Global Nutrition Transparency
10 March 2026This new tool marks a major step forward in ATNi’s mission to improve the healthiness of the global food system by making high-quality, comparable nutrition data more accessible to all stakeholders.
A New Window into the Healthiness of Packaged Foods
The Product Profile Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of more than 130,000 food and beverage products assessed by ATNi across multiple markets and companies over time. This includes data from the:
- Global Access to Nutrition Index (2018, 2021, and 2024);
- Kenya and Tanzania Market Assessments (2025) as part of the East Africa Market Assessments; and
- Retail Assessment (2025-2026) including the US, Indonesia, the Philippines, France, Kenya, and South Africa.
The dashboard can be used to explore company, category (e.g. soft drinks, breakfast cereals, dairy), and country comparisons; examine trends over time; and drill down into specific product segments to better understand nutrition performance. Newly incorporated metrics, such as the comparison between the previous and current version of the nutrient profile model Health Star Rating—enhance the breadth and depth of insights available.
Designed for a Wide Range of Stakeholders
The dashboard has been developed with investors, regulators, policy makers, civil society organisations, consumer advocates, and industry actors in mind. It offers trustworthy, actionable insights into the nutritional quality of packaged food portfolios, supporting increased transparency and accountability across the global food system.
Quality Assured, Insight Driven
All data within the dashboard has undergone rigorous quality assurance to ensure accuracy, relevance, and comparability across markets and time. Enhancements to nutrient profiling models, product categorisation, and cross-market alignment strengthen the robustness of the insights presented.
A Foundation for ATNi’s Data-driven Future
The launch of the Product Profile Dashboard represents an important milestone in ATNi’s evolution as an innovative, data-driven organisation. In the coming months, ATNi will continue refining the dashboard, expanding its features, and preparing for its wider release.
