Decoding the Shelf: Nutrient Profiling, Front-of-Pack Labels, and the Quest for Healthier Food Systems
20 OctoberYou may have seen Nutri-score labels on food at the grocery store. Have you ever wondered why some foods receive an ‘A’ while other seemingly similar products score ‘C’? What do these scores really mean?
At the Netherlands Food Partnership World Food Day event, join ATNi and Choices International Foundation for an interactive masterclass on nutrient profile models (NPMs), which underpin these labels.
This interactive session, Decoding the Shelf: Nutrient Profiling, Front-of-Pack Labels, and the Quest for Healthier Food Systems, takes you inside the world of NPMs. From a quick knowledge quiz and global overview to a hands-on challenge where you’ll classify foods using different models, this session will uncover the choices behind different approaches to NPMs, and what those choices mean for various policies.
The session will conclude with a debate on how NPMs can be used to shape healthier food environments. We are looking forward to hearing your perspectives and learning together.
