Last June, the ‘Building business contribution for the 2020 Global Nutrition Summit’ conference, took place in The Hague, Netherlands. We were pleased to co-organize the event with The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) with support from the Government of the Netherlands.

Approximately 150 diverse representatives from government, civil society, the non-profit sector and business attended the event. The goal of the summit was to build consensus and propose initial goals and recommendations for the government of Japan ahead of the 2020 Global Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit being hosted by the Japanese government in conjunction with the 2020 Summer Olympic games. It provided a unique opportunity for global actors in the nutrition community to re-align on progress and set ambitious goals to meet SDGs 2 and 3 which are the nutrition pillars of the 2030 agenda.
